Missing someone was a very odd feeling.
Atleast, it was for Ash. The boy got attatched easily so it wasn't unusual for him to think of you like a best friend right away. Therefore, he missed alot of people though right now he was missing a certain boy with no hair. And teeth so shiny that it burned his eyes and made the sun look very dull in comparison to the certain glisten they had. Aside from his good looks, Emmett was funny. The occasional teasing he gave out about him being a strange, walking contradiction oddly enough made him feel wanted in the other boy's life. Of course, from the get go it had hurt his feelings but now it was lightening up to where Ash would think something was wrong with the other boy if he wasn't poking fun at him. Normally Ash hated any sort of teasing, and really didn't let anyone tease him and Rae was pretty much proof of that. She was incredibly protective of the eighteen year old, even if she was shorter than him and younger by two years. Still, it was one of those odd things Ash had grown accustomed in during his time at Jasper hill. But he wouldn't call it a crush. No, he did not have a crush on Emmett. Okay, so, maybe that was a bit of a lie but he didn't want to form any sort of love-type relationships with people ever since he had been cornered at a party. It was just..unnatural to him now. Besides, he hadn't even took a single second to think Emmett might actually like him alittle too.
The boy didn't want to get out of his warm bed, covered in white sheets and draped with a light blue comforter that was doing it's job well. Ash was far too comfortable to even lift a hand up to push his tiny, multicolored spotted papillon, Digby, off of his chest so he could roll over and face the wall. It was saturday, and almost everyone at the campus had plans. All for him. It was always him that got left out of plans because even though he liked having friends, he didn't really like hanging out with anyone besides his red head friend and his friend with no hair and must have swallowed a ton of colgate when he was younger. Being out and about wasn't something the male liked to venture out of the safety of his bed and do. It was strange to him that people even actually liked getting out of their sweet beds to go out into hot days, cold days, rainy days and snowy days. All just to shop, gossip or do whatever it was that they did. But when his blackberry lit up with a white screen that illuminated his dark room thanks to no lights or open curtains, he practically hissed as he pushed his dog down to get it. His sleepy hands grabbed for it, almost knocking it over which would have caused Ash to 'accidentally' forget he had a text, and smiled when he saw he had a text from Emmett (appropriately saved in his contacts as Colgate) he sent a quick reply saying he'd be at the beach soon and started to move out of the comfort zone that was his bed.
Thankfully from looking out of his window, he could easily tell that it was gonna be a mild day, what with winter heavily flirting with the warm springtime. But yet, Ash wondered what Emmett had to show him at a beach that couldn't be found inside of their rooms. Water, sand, dayligh, fresh air, who needed it? Ash was happily content with just lounging around inside his room, eating popcorn and watching a movie with the other boy. Now clad in black jeans and a light redish-purple shirt with a black hoodie, he slipped on his shoes after putting them snuggly into his socks and walked out of his bedroom door, blocking his eyes from the light because somehow he had forgotten to turn the lights on in his room, so he wasn't used to the sudden brightness that had been inflicted on him. Through the murmur of some people stuck behind in the school, Ash walked out into the daylight slowly, as if he'd burn if his skin was touched with the beams of light. The journey to his car was short, yet tiring because the boy still had sleep on his mind, he got into the silver machine and started it up, pulling out of the student parkway and onto the mainstreets of the area around the school and started towards the beach.
When the road slowly transformed into sand and the cemented sidewalks paved into trees, Ash settled for parking in the vacant parkway and removed himself from the car, shutting his door with a tiny thud. Pleased to see Emmett right off the bat, he jogged over which was something he hadn't even expected himself to do. Putting his hands in his pocket, he put on a faux pout and looked at the boy. "You woke me up, you know. Kind of. I was awake but going back to bed. What's so important that you dragged me out to the beach?" Realizing he may have been rude, he put on a smile. "Hi, by the way."
