rae a. richmond
16 (junior). double threat (dancing/art). erika altosaar.
" -- rae's mother didn't really care much for her, nor did her father. her mother was busy, constantly busy. and her dad was much the same way. her mother was an agent for actors and actresses - when rae was little she thought that was really cool. she got to meet all these beautiful, famous people. she would dress up and say one day she would be like that, too. her dad was an international business man, and he was constantly traveling. the most she knew about her father was portrayed by the little trinkets he brought home for her. she collected them on her shelf and made them march in funny army situations.
-- as rae got older her parents cared less. she got frustrated with that. her parents got divorced, but it had already felt like they were - for as long as she could remember she only visited her dad in hotel rooms, because he never stayed more than a few days, if that. she started to act up in school and her mother didn't have the time to handle her. somewhere along the line she had gotten these talents in from their genes. her mother saw that and, of course, wanted to cash in on it. that was her business, after all. in order to mold rae (and hopefully get her to better behave) she sent her to jasper hill.
-- rae was one of the kids that gave into the pressure within the first week. she got a reputation for herself, though. the peer pressure was what got her more; she was dedicated and serious to dancing and painting. it took up most of her time, and the time she wasn't using for that was used drinking, smoking, messing around. she stopped a lot of that (or at least doing it in large social settings) when one party ended badly for her. after a rough fight, rae was left drunk and very disoriented - but victorious and no one was surprised about that, rae had turned into the school badass - and she was easily taken advantage. since then her life has been an odd mix of train wreck and self-proclaimed pariah.
